FritzWillie (also known as The Administrator) is a foundational figure and author in the SCP Foundation community, best known for his SCPs and for establishing the SCP Wiki on Wikidot in July 2008, serving as its creator and first administrator.
History
FritzWillie began contributing to the SCP series during the EditThis era, where he authored several entries including SCP-082 (“Fernand the Cannibal”), SCP-085 (“Hand-drawn Cassy”), and SCP-262 (“A Coat of Many Arms”).[1]http://www.wikidot.com/user:info/fritzwillie[2]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/fritzwillie-s-author-page[3]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie[4]https://web.archive.org/web/20080701032607/http://editthis.info/scp_wiki/?title=SCP-1004&action=history When the EditThis platform began experiencing technical difficulties and administrative abandonment in mid-2008, FritzWillie took the initiative to preserve the community’s work by migrating content to a new platform.
The Wikidot Migration
FritzWillie created the SCP Wiki on Wikidot July 19, 2008, , manually copying content from EditThis to preserve the community’s accumulated work. He created “The Administrator” as a separate account that could claim foundational authority to justify the move.[5]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
Account Separation and Governance Philosophy
FritzWillie’s maintained separate accounts for creative and administrative functions. He explicitly stated: “The last thing I wanted was people to potentially upvote my material just because of the position of The Administrator. If people really liked my writing, I wanted to know it was for my ideas, not because they were brown nosing the site’s Admin.”[6]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/an-interview-with-the-administrator
This separation was formalized in The Administrator’s author page, which stated that SCP Command had barred him from authoring work due to “favoritism” and “conflicts of interest,” though it noted rumors that he documented SCPs under a pen name.[7]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/the-administrator-s-biography
On July 25, 2008, FritzWillie began distributing administrative authority to community members who had demonstrated commitment and competence, including Dr. Gears and Kain Pathos Crow as administrators, and Kraito, Lt Masipag as moderators.[8]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-76549/thoughts-on-new-site His opening forum post established a service-oriented philosophy: “Admin is here to serve, what do you want to see done differently around here? We will try our best to implement your ideas.”
Institutional Innovations
FritzWillie established several governance precedents that would define SCP Wiki administration:
-
- Democratic Consensus: He consistently deferred to community preferences, most notably when he initially preferred alternative names for the organization but accepted “SCP Foundation” following community discussion.[9]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-76752/foundation-or-organisation
- Meritocratic Promotion: He outlined a system of staff promotions and where where advancement required “experience and consistent quality writing,” establishing the principle that creative competence should determine institutional authority.[10]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-76549/thoughts-on-new-site#post-227924
- Systematic Decision-Making: He proposed a “supreme court” model for administrative judgment, creating formal procedures for resolving disputes that would evolve into increasingly elaborate governance structures.[11]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-76549/thoughts-on-new-site#post-227924
- SCP Announcements Thread: The Administrator started the first thread dedicated to the announcement of new SCPs posted to the WikiDot, writing: “With the transfer from the old site and improvements to current articles being made, I know it’s difficult to know what’s old from new. So, I’ve created this thread so authors can announce their brand new SCPs, so they don’t get lost in the mix.”[12]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-77409/new-scp-announcements
- Rating Module/Vote Justification: FritzWillie was an early supporter of all articles using rating modules and always leaving feedback with a downvote.[13]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-79710/ratings He wrote: “Just as a rule, I believe that if you’re going to give something a negative rating, you should explain why. If our goal is to improve the quality of SCP articles, authors are going to need to know how to make them more satisfactory.”
Later Career and Departure
In early 2009, shortly after the formation of the SCP Admin Council, FritzWillie retired from Wikidot management due to personal matters concerning his family’s welfare and his diagnosis with cancer.[14]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/an-interview-with-the-administrator[15]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie As of 2021, he remained active on the SCP Wiki and was working on a novel of his own.[16]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
Creative Work
FritzWillie authored a total of 17 surviving SCP articles.[17]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/fritzwillie-s-author-page[18]https://scpper.com/user/172952[19]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie His most popular works by rating are SCP-085 (“Hand-drawn Cassy”), SCP-082 (“Fernand the Cannibal”), and SCP-262 (“A Coat of Many Arms”). SCP-262 was written under The Administrator account.[20]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-262
FritzWillie’s writing style was characterized by dramatic prose that he acknowledged “the community has been vocal in their dislike of” as “not clinical enough.” The comment sections for his SCP works feature numerous comments indicating the prose is too dramatic for the Foundation.[21]e.g. https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-77213/scp-085 He described his relationship with writing as compulsive rather than romantic: “I HAVE TO write because if I don’t all these ideas and words build up in my head, until the pressure to expel them becomes so great I can’t hold it in any longer.”[22]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/an-interview-with-the-administrator
SCP-262 was the only article published under The Administrator account, written specifically to demonstrate that “the author behind The Administrator was at the very least, a decent, valid author” while maintaining the separation between his administrative and creative identities.[23]https://scpper.com/user/169306[24]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
SCP-082 (“Fernand the Cannibal”)
A Euclid-class anomalous entity contained by the SCP Foundation, classified as a genetically human individual who has been anomalously enlarged through unknown processes. Referred to as a cannibal due to its cannibalistic behavior and claimed French identity.[25]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-082 According to author commentary, SCP-082 is “… an “ogre, giant, or troll” from legend brought into the SCP universe.”[26]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-96440/scp-082#post-2387311 The character was described by its creator as their most favored creation, intended as part of a larger narrative about the SCP universe’s origins.[27]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
The original image was removed in 2017 for not being Creative Commons compliant.[28]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-96440/scp-082#post-3565329 A new image was uploaded in December 2024.[29]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-082
SCP-085 (“Hand-drawn Cassy”)
A Safe-class anomalous entity contained by the SCP Foundation, classified as a sentient two-dimensional humanoid figure that exists only on paper and canvas surfaces. Despite being completely two-dimensional, SCP-085 demonstrates full sentience and awareness of her limitations within a three-dimensional world.[30]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-085
The original image was removed in August 2009 after the owner of the image requested it be taken down.[31]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-085, rev. 11 It was replaced by user Raven Mackenzie/Aelanna with an alternative the same month.[32]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-77213/scp-085#post-572914 This image is the current version, identified as being drawn by WikiDot user Yubi Shines in 2009.[33]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-137036/sketches-of-personnel#post-653128[34]https://vanathema-art.tumblr.com/post/139218203145/fun-fact-i-drew-the-current-image-for-scp-085
It was partially rewritten in 2010 by Dr Clef to remove more of the “cutesy” elements, though this was met with pushback, and a compromise was made. User pooryoric/tunedtoadeadchannel also attempted a rewrite in September, which was not preferred, and so was reverted.[35]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-77213/scp-085[36]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-085, rev. 36 The attempts inspired discussions about more formal parameters for article rewrites, as SCP-085 was positively rated at the time of the attempts.[37]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-77213/scp-085#post-867731
“A Word From the Administrator”
FritzWillie authored “A Word From the Administrator,” which serves as the de facto philosophical charter of the SCP Foundation. This documents was originally created as the original “About the SCP Foundation” page on the WikiDot on July 30, 2008.[38]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/archived:about-the-scp-foundation, rev.0 The document draws from anthropological concepts about humanity’s prehistoric development.[39]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/an-interview-with-the-administrator It is the first known instance of the popular sentiment “We die in the dark so you can live in the light”, and is also the first known use of “SCP” as standing for “Secure, Contain, Protect.”
Legacy
In addition to his SCPs, FritzWillie’s governance innovations established precedents that influenced SCP Wiki administration thereafter, including his emphasis on service-oriented leadership and democratic consensus. His “small part” in the history of the SCP Wiki is celebrated by the community, and his account separation is praised as wise and selfless.[40]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-807535/an-interview-with-the-administrator[41]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-14136678/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie The Wikidot migration he initiated not only preserved the SCP community during a critical transition period but established the technological and cultural foundation that enabled its subsequent growth.
Trivia
- FritzWillie was in his mid-twenties when he founded the WikiDot.[42]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/an-interview-with-the-administrator
- The original “A Word From The Administrator” was not at all the version attributed with its mission statement for the Foundation. Initially on WikiDot, it was a dedicated completely out-of-universe notice of the move, its reasons, and also a caveat about his lack of experience as a web designer.[43]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/archived:a-word-from-the-administrator The Administrator later wrote an “About the SCP Foundation” page, which was what came to be later known as “A Word From The Administrator”.[44]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/archived:about-the-scp-foundation[45]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-78850/archived:about-the-scp-foundation
- FritzWillie chose his platform after research, stating: “I googled other wikifarms to see who offered the best services for free. Wikidot came up number one for both features and free content.”[46]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-807535/an-interview-with-the-administrator
- The Administrator’s author page contained a meta-fictional explanation for the account separation, stating that SCP Command had barred him from authoring work due to “favoritism” and “conflicts of interest,” while noting rumors that he documented SCPs under a pen name.[47]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/the-administrator-s-biography
- Prior to the name “Foundation” being established for the fictional containment organization, The Administrator’s preferred name was the “SCP Front”. He also had called it “The SCP Organization”. He stated, “Foundation’ was actually one of my least favorites, made us sound like a non-profit organization.”[48]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/an-interview-with-the-administrator[49]http://community.wikidot.com/forum/t-77975/the-scp-organization
- When discussing the official title of the Foundation, The Administrator wrote: “Is there an alternative spelling we can use to make it sound old-world or ancient? And not something gay, like “shop” to “shoppe””.
- In his address to the SCP community on the WikiDot, FritzWillie deliberately conflated himself with the EditThis Admin, stating: “Admin is here…”[50]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-76549/thoughts-on-new-site
- FritzWillie’s username originated from a bar called “FitzWillie’s” near campus that he and his best friend frequently visited, though they had been calling it by the wrong name for years until someone corrected them, creating what he described as a “Mandela effect” moment that “totally broke my sense of reality for a day.”[51]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
- FritzWillie was originally on track to become a doctor, having been pressured by his parents to pursue “practical studies” over his artistic interests, but never completed medical school and instead pursued writing and art later in life.[52]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
- At age 40 (as of the 2021 interview), FritzWillie described himself as “the happiest I’ve ever been in my life” while working on his first novel and returning to drawing, having started an Instagram and Twitter account under “fritzwilliedraws.”[53]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
- FritzWillie’s Author Page was the second to exist on the WikiDot. The Administrator’s author page was the fifth, and is one of the only author pages to be allowed despite the author having written less than three articles for the site.[54]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/page-calendar/date/2008.7
- FritzWillie’s SCP-1004-J (“Delicious Cake”), written on /x/, was arguably the first quality joke article in the history of SCP, showcasing that the constraints of the clinical tone could enhance humor.
- SCP-968 (“Tar Baby”) started as SCP-1007 on EditThis.[55]https://web.archive.org/web/20080903043644/http://www.editthis.info:80/scp_wiki/Continue_on#1000.2B[56]http://web.archive.org/web/20080701010214/http://editthis.info:80/scp_wiki/Talk:SCP-1007
- After creating the SCP Wiki on WikiDot, The Administrator account went on to create other WikiDot sites relating to SCP (non-viable), including “Soap from Corpses Products” (tagline: “So Clean, You’d Think You Were In Heaven!”), “The SCP Society” (tagline: “Skeptics of Conspiracy and the Paranormal”), “SCP Application” (tagline: “for Membership into the Foundation”; a dedicated Wiki for SCP Foundation Wiki applications), and “SCP Admin Court of Counsel” (a prototype O5 Command forum for SCP Wiki staff matters). The description of “Soap from Corpses Products” reads: “Your premiere source for human remains based soap and lye products! Experience a cleanliness like no other when and indulge in the renewing lather that sure you resurrect aging, lifeless cells.” The description for “The SCP Society” reads, “We are a society of skeptics who seek to disprove the foolish beliefs of conspiracy theorists and paranormal enthusiasts.” Many of these were attempts at creating SCP fronts.[57]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-fronts/
- FritzWillie (or perhaps merely The Administrator) may have been a firearms enthusiast from the state of Texas. Another WikiDot created by The Administrator account was “Hunting & More” (tagline: “A Sportsman’s Community”), a wiki about hunting that offered game recipes, as well as a discussion of conceal-carry gun rights in Texas. The description of this Wiki reads, “Feel free to upload your recent “road” kill.”[58]http://huntingandmore.wikidot.com/
- The Administrator shared the creation of the SCP Wiki (then titled “The SCP Organization”) to the general WikiDot forums.[59]http://community.wikidot.com/forum/t-77975/the-scp-organization
- In a WikiDot forum post titled “NickNames/Codenames”, The Administrator suggests including SCP titles in works to serve cross-referencing, instead of the SCP item numbers, arguing in favor of enhanced user experience and readability. Dr Gears defends the detached clinical approach with other veteran members supporting. This exchange was later placed (by Dr Gears) into the Containment Breach game as an in-game document reading: ‘Please refer to all SCP-level items by their case-designate review numbers. While common reference names are more “convenient”, it is both misleading and unprofessional. Case in point, any continued reference to “Radical Larry” in SCP-106 reports will be met with disciplinary review from sector supervisors. – Dr. Gears.”[60]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-77166/nicknames-codenames[61]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-dr-gears
- FritzWillie presaged St. Andrew Swann’s famous SCP-001 proposal (“The Database”) in his conceptualization for SCP-085 (“Hand-drawn ‘Cassie'”): “I don’t know if I said this before, but Cassy was actually inspired by an old Bug’s Bunny and Daffy Duck cartoon where Daffy is being tormented by the animator but Daffy can’t see or hear his tormentor, and at the end of the bit, it’s revealed to be Bugs. The “point” of Cassy was meant to be as “meta” as possible.”
- FritzWillie made a brief return to the site forums in 2015.[62]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-1344574/the-return-of-fritzwillie In the discussion, someone asks “Is this a temporary return to say hi that is going to be followed by another six-year absence or an actual returned commitment to the SCP community?” (His absence was actually closer to seven years.) FritzWillie would submit drafts for a new SCP and tale, leave article critique, and interact for the next months, but would then leave for a five-year absence, returning in 2020 to comment on the cancer support thread for Dr Gears.[63]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-1350551/my-first-draft#post-2372081[64]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-1417868/adminimorphosis-a-tale-by-fritzwillie[65]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-1397561/fritzwillie-disappointed-mother[66]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-12942231/broken-cog#post-4476938
- One of FritzWillie’s 2015 tale drafts was heavily criticized for having The Administrator interact with an SCP.[67]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-1397561/fritzwillie-disappointed-mother#post-2389433 It was never posted to the Wiki.
- FritzWillie petitioned the community to help him understand the lore of The Administrator, which he felt lost to.[68]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-1410443/tell-me-about-the-administrator
- A subsequent tale draft attempted to address a reconciliation of his ideas of The Administrator with the community’s, titled “Adminimorphosis”.[69]http://scpsandbox2.wikidot.com/fritzwillie2 It was heavily criticized in the draft forum post and never posted to the site. An argument ensued about the critique given to the tale to the point that both FritzWillie and the critiquer gave up, and a stop-order was given by SCP Wiki staff.[70]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-1417868/adminimorphosis-a-tale-by-fritzwillie
- Author djkaktus’ first SCP-001 Proposal (“The Children”) cast The Administrator, whose name was “Frederick Williams”, an homage to FritzWillie.[71]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/djkaktus-s-proposal Variations of FritzWillie as an in-universe Administrator would appear in subsequent works.[72]e.g. https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/rounderhouse-proposal
- SCP-082 (“Fernand the Cannibal”) was featured in the first episode of the popular SCP web series Confinement.
- The original image for SCP-085 was an “anime waifu” girl, illustrated by comic book artist Omar Dogan. This fueled her early reputation as “fap-bait” or an overt male fantasy character.[73]https://www.amazon.com/Books-Omar-Dogan/s?rh=n%3A283155%2Cp_27%3AOmar%2BDogan[74]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-085, rev. 11[75]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-77213/scp-085#post-867324[76]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-77213/scp-085#post-591690
- SCP-085 has been the subject of several April Fool’s jokes. In 2010, its image was changed to “a fat, bald man”.[77]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-77213/scp-085#post-740163 The image for this April Fool’s version can still be viewed on the page’s files.[78]
[79]https://scp-wiki.wdfiles.com/local–files/scp-085/fatoldcassie.jpg In 2011, a another image change was made; while this has not been captured and no remnant version of the image remains, the title of the image was “You_want_me____sexy_girl_by_natnatc.jpg”.[80]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-085, rev. 39
Quotes
“I’m tired of others always whining about originality, as if that was the most important thing, like something isn’t creepy or interesting if you didn’t think of it first. Anyway, it seems that no matter what you come up with, someone, somewhere, probably in Japan… has come up with it first or beaten it do death. For every one of my favorites, I can give you at least one example where its already been done, (on probably either Star Trek or the Twilight Zone). That doesn’t mean that they aren’t good. For me, someone who puts their time into researching it, structuring it, making it believable but still pulling me into it. That’s work you can take pride in, that’s the work that I enjoy.”[81]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/fritzwillie-s-author-page
“We dodged a bullet coming [to WikiDot] when we did. Not only has the site evolved by leaps and bounds, but I have to thank the community for the massive amount of work that’s gone into molding the Foundation into what it is today. A lot of progress has been made in just 6 weeks. Imagine where we’ll be in 6 months.” — The Administrator, September 2008[82]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/the-old-wiki
” I’m not antisocial, I love talking with people. I’m not an ascetic, I do not shy away from the vices of this world, rather too long have I revelled and bathed in the selfish sins of society. But, like reflexively withdrawing the hand from the flame, I withdraw, over and over from attention, from both criticism and admiration… I wasn’t looking for a community, I was looking for a release. I didn’t want to yell into the void, I wanted to whisper my secrets. It wasn’t for attention, it was for expression.”[83]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
I saved the site, but it was everyone else that made it great and got it where it is today, so good job, to you and everyone else.[84]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/an-interview-with-the-administrator
” I had found Wikidot on my own around the same time and found it a better option than EditThis. So I tried finding the administrator of the SCP EditThis and got no response. So the next thing I did was contact EditThis to find that the creator had abandoned it. EditThis offered to sell me the admin rights and even warned me that without an admin, the SCP list was under threat of deletion. I guess I could have purchased the site, however, it was just easier to assume the identity of the original creator and announce that the site was migrating to Wikidot. My goal went from improving the site to saving it.”[85]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
“Segwaying into the third question, I didn’t tell people that I was the original creator, but I didn’t exactly tell them that I wasn’t. It was a miracle that no one asked. All I did was I announced that I was “The Administrator” and that the SCP list was moving to a new site. I offered major roles to some of the big names on EditThis and rather quickly stepped back into my whispered persona.”[86]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
“I, on reflex, perhaps even subconsciously on purpose, took a long time to get back to people, respond to messages, and rarely took to the forums. I apologize, it is part of my nature I truly wish I could change. I didn’t exactly allow the staff to form their own hierarchy, I simply stepped away from all rank and position of leadership to do so.”[87]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
“Why did a child, who is supposed to be interested in He-man and Ninja Turtles, want to know about this ooze that stickily trapped people. Yes, I think I was destined for the SCP world from a young age.”[88]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
“I created the Administrator years ago to establish the website, but not control it. I always intended him to be a character, part of the canon, but feared guiding the community rather than being a part of it. Cancer took me away, but now I’ve returned to find out my character has had a life of his own. (Or has died, I’m a little lost).”[89]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/forum/t-1410443/tell-me-about-the-administrator
“I remember reading the original [SCP-067 (“An Artist’s Pen”)] and falling in love with the idea of a pen that could allow people to draw. Besides writing, drawing was my greatest passion in life, and the only passion that I shared with others. When I drew, I felt like I was giving up control of my hand to the pen, like my art was inspired by a force external to my own will, and so I put that in the article. I remember eagerly asking the original author if I could add or rewrite his/her article, and I don’t believe I ever got a response. It has been abandoned, and so I claimed it for myself. I do believe that 99% of The Artist’s pen is mine, but yes, it was there before I was. And I do feel like this is what gave me the gall to move the SCP wiki from EditThis to Wikidot when the time came.”[90]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
“Oh I always had a soft spot in my heart, whenever I saw an SCP reference in a comment, fanart, or cosplay on the internet. While it made my heart soar with pride, knowing that I played a small part in its history, I never let it go to my head, because the part I had played was so small. Perhaps it’s me being a recluse, but I feel like the success of The Foundation had little to do with me and more with the talent and hard work of others. I’m just happy to say that I was there, that I got to stand amongst great people and witness their success from their place in the spotlight by looking over their shoulders and whispering in their ears. Not by telling them what to do”[91]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
“Thinking of SCP fills me with a lot of hope. Personal hope, a belief in myself and others like me. People who long to be called writers, people who brim with a passion they can hardly contain, whose cups overfloweth with ideas and words. When I was young, the idea of a great author was one of a solitary individual, hunched over a typewriter, locked away in a room, surrounded by books and notes, alone with his ideas, and ultimately, solitary. But, now I think about the great authors of today, the writers of the SCP community.”[92]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
“… it’s all a way to bring the students closer together, and like all traditions, it’s meant to bring us together as a family. Yes, all those traditions are a bit cult-like, but these crazy events and experiences serve to give you something in common with strangers and bring people from different worlds together so that you’re no longer strangers anymore. You’re family now because you have these wild experiences that no one else, other than those people, can relate to. In a way, The SCP Foundation is a little bit like that. We all share knowledge and traditions that few others can relate to. The SCP community is family in that way, a very weird and wonder-filled family.”[93]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
“I was a cog in the machine, but the overall machine is greater than the sum of its parts.”[94]https://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/interviewing-icons-the-administrator-fritzwillie
